The immense popularity of the smartphone has created a weapon for the average consumer in many ways. One of them, out of many, is that you are now able to comparison shop directly inside of a store. Regardless of your allegiance to the iPhone, Android or Blackberry, if you think you’re getting a raw deal from a retailer, you can do a little fact checking instantly.
Advantage: you.
So what are retailers going to do about this? They are going to have to be more honest with their customers because now it’s very much possible for someone to be in a store and also be on that retailer’s website. When getting the lowest cost deal on something is your goal, using your phone will help you track down the right information.
It’s a hard reality for stores, but smartphones and their accompanying apps are able to let you save time, save money and overall have more fun. That’s good for all of us regular folks!
That’s exactly why we developed Who’s Free. Instead of wasting precious time figuring out where your friends are, you can now simply find out using Facebook! Using technology to make things better in life is the goal – and if you have a smartphone, you’re ahead of the game!
Are you excited about New Year’s? Got any plans? See, a lot of people start to fret about what they are going to do on New Year’s Eve. But the reality is that with awesome technology (like Who’s Free) you don’t have to stress out at all! You can go with the flow with whatever your friends happen to be doing, never being left out for a second!
Who’s Free is great for everything during the holiday season. Sure, it’s a frazzled time where you have to try to get a lot done, and then all is quiet. Take those quiet times and make the most of them by hanging out with all of the cool people that you know.
So now that we’ve got that out of the way, we wanted to talk a little bit about our plans for 2011. We’re going to be launching our Android version of Who’s Free, and we’ve been in the kitchen cooking up some great ideas for how we’re going to make a splash at SXSW in March. 2011 is going to be a blast here a meebeeland, maybe even more so than 2010 was!

How would you like to have to sleep in your office? Doesn’t sound very fun.
Most us us like to go home after work and enjoy themselves, maybe even go out and socialize with our friends. But that’s what our CEO, JD is doing. He’s staying in the office until he can get more feedback on our new mobile app, Who’s Free. See, we’ve been working so hard on the app that we now need to know how we can make it better. That’s where you come in!
We’re pretty sure that Who’s Free is an awesome and useful app, but without the feedback of our users, we’re stuck in the mud. Or, as in JD’s case, he’s stuck in the office. Which could be considered like mud if you’re there after working hours.

JD is stuck camping in meebeeland (our office) until we get more feedback about our new app. That’s right, he is stuck, like a caged animal, in the office with no food and no access to the outside world. He is even sleeping here at night with no blankets!
